Design / construction : 2010/2013
A new 144 sq.m. residence with a basement was built in Voleri district near Chalkida, Central Greece. The building has a bioclimatic design as it is passively heated in winter by the sun and is passively cooled in summer with horizontal sunshades through openings. The closed courtyard to the north and the large openings to the south contribute to the concept above. The roof was designed to be south-facing to accommodate solar electricity panels making the house energy independent. The heating of the building is done with fan coil units.
For the project above, the architectural design and supervision was done.
